Our team
The 4th Oncology Clinic of Metropolitan Hospital was founded in 2018 by Dr Helena Linardou. Our team consists of specialist medical oncologists with substantial clinical experience and training abroad, a psycho-oncologist, specialised nursing staff and a clinical trials coordinator, so that every patient receives complete care from diagnosis through to after treatment.
Clinical Trials Centre
The Clinical Trials Centre operates within the 4th Oncology Clinic, with a specialised clinical trials coordinator. Through our team’s participation in Greek and international research groups, such as the Hellenic Cooperative Oncology Group (HeCOG), our patients gain access to large international collaborative clinical trials and to new, pioneering anticancer treatments.
Care in four steps
Well-being
Care does not stop at treatment. We offer psychological support from a specialised psycho-oncologist, dietary guidance and monitoring, physiotherapy, scalp cooling to prevent complete hair loss and contact with the volunteer groups Alma Zois and Agaliazo, so that the patient and the family have support at every step.
