Cancer treatment is not only about drugs. The Clinic’s supportive services look after your mental health, nutrition, physical condition and self-image, throughout treatment and afterwards.

Psychological supportFrom a specialised psycho-oncologist, for the patient and the family. From the first diagnosis to the end of treatment, with individual sessions and support for carers. Read more about Nina Dolli.
Scalp coolingCooling of the scalp during chemotherapy to limit hair loss and avoid complete alopecia. Ask your doctor whether it is suitable for your regimen.
Dietary guidancePersonalised nutritional follow-up by a specialist dietitian, to maintain weight and strength and manage nausea, loss of appetite and other side effects.
PhysiotherapyIn cooperation with the Hospital's physiotherapy department, for mobility, recovery after surgery and the management of lymphoedema.
Volunteer groupsCooperation with the associations Alma Zois and Agaliazo, for companionship, practical help and support groups run by people who have been through the same journey.

How to ask for a supportive service

Speak to your treating physician or the Clinic’s nurse at any visit. The team assesses your needs and schedules the sessions, usually on the same days as your treatment, so that no extra journeys are needed.

    Your doctor or nurse, at any visit or by telephone.

  2. Assessment

    The team discusses what will help you most at this stage of treatment.

  3. Scheduling

    Sessions are combined with treatment days wherever possible.
