Asimina Pelteki is an oncology and clinical research nurse at the 4th Oncology Clinic and the Clinical Trials Centre. From the start of her career she has provided holistic, person-centred care, covering the medical, nursing and emotional needs of patients and their carers.
- Nursing degree
University of West Attica, with distinction. Clinical placements at the Propaedeutic Surgical Department of Hippokrateio Hospital and the Haematology-Oncology department of Athens Medical Center, where she continued to work until 2024.
- 4th Oncology Clinic
From February, Oncology and Clinical Research Nurse at Metropolitan Hospital. In December, certification by the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) in the management of patients on chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
- Postgraduate studies
Joint master's programme in Oncology Nursing of the Universities of the Peloponnese and West Attica.
Scientific activity
She has experience in the handling of anticancer drugs, in supportive and palliative care and in clinical trials. She regularly attends oncology congresses and scientific events, is the author of publications in scientific journals and has given oral and poster presentations, some of them awarded for originality.
