Kanella-Maria Gkiati is the Administrative Director of the 4th Oncology Clinic and head of the Clinical Trials Centre, with twenty years of experience coordinating Greek and international clinical trials.
Career
- Diploma of Architect Engineer
Polytechnic School, University of Patras, with distinction.
- HeCOG
After the required training in clinical trials, an active member of the Hellenic Cooperative Oncology Group, first as Data Manager and then as national Clinical Trials Coordinator.
- Master's degree
Humanities, specialising in Cultural Studies.
- International trials
Management and coordination of the international clinical trials of the largest pharmaceutical companies active in Greece.
- Clinical Trials Centre
With the foundation of the 4th Oncology Clinic she was appointed head of the Centre and the Clinic for the coordination of operating procedures, timelines, budgets and feasibility assessment of trials.
- Administrative Director and LEAR I3LUNG
Administrative Director of the Clinic and the Centre. Legal Entity Appointed Representative for the European Commission's I3LUNG project (Horizon Europe) on personalised, AI-based care of patients with lung cancer.
Responsibilities
- Smooth operation of the Clinic and high-quality oncology care
- Clinical trials evaluation, management and patient enrolment, liaison for local and international collaborations
- Interdisciplinary cooperation among the team's health professionals
- Quality and compliance with international guidelines, with emphasis on the patient's experience

- IATA (Dangerous Goods)
- LEAR (Legal Entity Appointed Representative)
Guided by transparency, consistency and professionalism, she pursues the continuous development of the Clinic and the strengthening of its position as a model oncology centre nationally and internationally.
